Spring has finally arrived, and with it, the promise of summer is right around the corner.
This is the time of year that so many things seem possible. Daylight hours are longer and the temperatures are warmer. The bright sunny days have a way of warming me to the tasks ahead.
Now is the time to work hardest, at this thing we call dieting, because soon it will be time to start wearing our shorts out in public, or God forbid, our swim wear.
Why am I reminding you of this now? Because each year when summer comes, if you are anything like me, you wish that you had done more to change how you look during the last year. So, even though you may not have made the progress that you would like, there is still time to work on it.
I don't think that most of us will be getting into Baywatch shape but think of how good you will feel if you drop a couple of sizes from last summer. Whether you are planning a cruise or going to the lake or maybe just hanging out at a back yard barbecue, feeling good about how well we have done in our journey so far this year is important.
I figure that I have a good three months to go before it is warm enough to start wearing those shorts on a regular basis so now is the time to make some progress towards sporting a new image this summer.
While it may be considered vain to worry about my looks and how I appear to others, I say "so what". If my quest to look better motivates a change, and this change results in me being healthier, then that is a major accomplishment.
Cut out a picture of those new shorts or that swim suit and pin it on your refrigerator...or in the bathroom by your mirror. Let it be a reminder of just another goal that you are working towards.

20 Ways To Eat Healthier Right Now
Last week was a better week for myself and several others in the group. Let's see if we can keep up with that progress. There is approximately 6 weeks left in Part II so there is plenty of time to still post a loss. My small step for today is to drink lots of water. Remember that each step you take gets you closer to your destination. One Step at a Time, one day at a time; prove to yourself that you can make a difference.
Happy Trails!
