Week 1 Results or Is My Fudge Showing?

Greetings Friends~

Here are the Results for Week 1, summed up in one word, DISMAL. This week's winner is Rebecca who should receive MAJOR props for being the only one of the group to lose weight this week. She lost 3 pounds. Way to go, Little Sister. Look at who is being the inspiration now.

I think the reasons for the poor showing this week are many. Some members thought we were starting in the new year. Some of us fell victim to Christmas parties and cheer. Some of us aren't eating, exercising or drinking enough WATER because we are caught up in Christmas. Some of us are the taste testers of calorie laden products being produced at Evil Chet's Chocolate Consortium.

For whatever reason, it was a bad week in Whoville. I know that I am going to make every attempt to get back on track by next Monday. The weekend should bring some much needed rest and the opportunity to exercise, along with a chance to purge the house of temptation and gets some healthy food choices laid in.

As I said yesterday, I am up a pound. I hope to get rid of that by next week and hopefully another pound or two. We'll see how that goes because Chet wants to celebrate another successful Christmas season being over.

Next week I will be writing about two other exciting events for the new year and Part 2. Make sure to tune in.

Unfortunately I am no longer able to notify people each day when there is a new posting. It would seem that I have exceeded the allowable number of emails to Yahoo, Hotmail and MSN, so they now have labeled me a spammer. I've been called worse things (frequently).

For future reference, you should know that barring any kind of emergency, power outage or freakin' Comcast snafu, there will be a post everyday Monday through Friday. Weekends and holidays are optional.

Recipe of the Day

You might want to try this over the weekend when you are relaxing and need a break from all the fat laden Christmas holiday fare.

I hope that everyone is surviving. I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. I think it is red and is either a fast moving train or Rudolph is doing a flyby exercise prior to Thursday night. Do the best you can to keep on track and if you take a detour, don't fret. One Step at a Time means that we always get another chance for redemption and the opportunity to do better tomorrow.

Happy Trails!

I agree with the spammer, it is a dismal week. But, as always there is a bright side. Even if you gained weight, it wasn't much AND you are not going to continue walk down this path. You've been down that road, you know where it leads and it's not Disneyland. Christmas doesn't need to be your downfall. It won't be.
