The Choice is Yours

Greetings Friends~

Every so often I must remind you that you have a choice in how long you are going to live. Today is that day.

Type II Diabetes will claim thousands of lives in 2010. Will I be one of them? Will you be one of them? Foods like pizza, Jumbo Jacks with cheese, Fritos, Doritos, cake, cookies and huge plates of spaghetti can be my downfall. Healthy eating and exercise can be my salvation.

What to do about a life that revolves around food and a lifestyle that invites early death?

Change is the answer. Losing weight is the way. One Step at a Time is the way.

If you have not invested in your future by being motivated to lose weight and be slim, then today is the day that you should get down on your knees, AND DO SOME SITUPS.

Life is way too short as it is. Do you really want to cut it even shorter due to your own laziness? If you are honest with yourself, as I am, then the answer is no. Sure, it is hard; sure, it is not quick. Ask yourself this; would I rather die young with 12 pall bearers straining under MY weight or would I prefer to live to break a world record? Going out fit and screaming that this was the ride of my life?

You decide. You do it today. You take your small steps to ensure that you squeeze as much time out of this life as possible.

It is up to you.

I choose FIT. Won't you please join me?

Inspiration of the Day

Every morning you are handed 24 golden hours. They are one of the few things in this world that you get free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you couldn't buy an extra hour. What will you do with this priceless treasure? Remember, you must use it, as it is given only once. Once wasted you cannot get it back.-Unknown

Recipe of the Day

Fish and tacos? I like the combination. If you don't, substitute chicken for it. Bon Appetite`.

Outsmart Restaurant Menus

My small step for today is to get this post done in the morning. Guess I have done that. Have a great day, eat right and get some exercise! The results that we have achieved are possible because we did it One Step at a Time.

Happy Trails!

Yum yum yum on the recipe of the day. Fish tacos? Yum. And is that guacomole? Yeah for mush green stuff! Ok. Sorry about the weirdness. I do love avocado anything. I am thankful for the comment contest. It is more fun to have everyone's comments to read. Thanks everybody!

I must admit that I do enjoy reading the comments almost as much as reading the blog. I really enjoyed reading the restaurant tips. It is amazing how they can make a hamburger look so good. We have made the switch to ground turkey in place of ground beef. It is just as tasty and I don't miss all that fat. (Especially if it has some mush green stuff on it.)

I agree with both of you. The comments on here are so much more interesting than the stuff that guy writes. I do really love some of the pictures though. While I am thinking about it, who the hell is Chet?
