Saturday Leaving Las Vegas
Greetings Friends~
It is a good thing that I worked out for six weeks before I got here otherwise I would have never made it through the week for all the walking. I swear that I must have walked close to five miles a day since I have been here. My poor feet are telling me that it is time to go home and soak them in the jacuzzi.
While I got lots of exercise, I fear that overall my eating has been poor at best. We had a delicious dinner at Del Frisco's last night. We walked part of the way there which was funny because when we got ready to leave, after blowing a couple of hundred dollars on dinner, the waiter gave me an odd look when he asked if we wanted a taxi. Nope, we are riding the bus (in all our finery).
We didn't eat sparingly but we did eat things like salad, vegetables and meat, but only sampled the potatoes. Mrs. B did say after trying their famous lemon cake for dessert, that the next time she gets married, she is serving THAT cake.
I sure hope that the rest of you have been making up for my excess. Oh well, for me, vacation only comes once a year.
Inspiration of the Day
Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things. - Denis Diderot, 1713-1784
Recipe of the Day
Here is a light fall salad that would go well with the Sloppy Joes from earlier this week.

Back to the grind for us tomorrow, Travelers. One Step at a Time probably kept me from getting too ignorant. I'll be spending some serious time at the gym the next week.
Happy Trails!

Man am I glad you had a good time. You totally deserved it. You did exactly what you set out to do. You went to all the places on your list, you ate all the food you said you were going to eat (and didn't eat the stuff you said you weren't going to eat) and you exercised just like you said! Amazing! I'm looking forward to hearing all the juicy details that you couldn't put in print. See you soon!
