Greetings Friends~
(Why does Bruce (Wayne) always get to drive? Because I'm on the phone asking directions.)
Here are the Week 9 results. Kudos to LaNae for being this week's Biggest Loser.
So how will I deal with the temptation of a succulent Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings?
I am going to limit myself to eating the stuff that is good for me like turkey, salad and vegetables. If I decide that I just can't live without something like a yeast roll or candied yams, then I will only eat a VERY small portion.
I am going to drink LOTS of water with my meal and eat slowly.
I am going to skip dessert. I like pumpkin pie but I don't LOVE it so there is no temptation to resist.
I am sending the fattening stuff, like mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing home with guests. Anything that is leftover after they have taken their share, is going into the freezer. On Friday I will take this, along with the pumpkin pie, to work for co-workers to consume on Monday.
If I don't have it in the house, I can't eat it.
Inspiration of the Day
My success just evolved from working hard at the business at hand each day. -- Johnny Carson
I'm still battling this cold. I took lots of cold medicine today and naps so I believe I am getting better. I really want to get back to work tomorrow.
Happy Trails!

I cannot believe what I am reading. Have you checked out the "total weight loss" column? Everyone has lost an incredible amount of weight. Some are close to double digits and some are on the super weight loss fast track! You all deserve a thumbs up or a hug or whatever. So Chip has his Turkey Day battle plan. You still have one whole day. If you're doing the cooking you might need to call in your reinforcements. (That would be your visual "mom" telling you that too much pie will make you sick and raw sweet potatoes will give you worms. You know what I'm talking about.) Good luck on your strategy!
