Greetings Friends~
(Hey, is that guy balancing on his head or is he flipping me the bird?)
Here is your weekly reminder that I need your new WEIGHT on Monday. I hope that you make the most of your weekend by getting in a couple of Last Chance workouts so you can impress yourself and others with your progress.
I know that there are several members and followers that do not have gym memberships. Do not despair. I figure if you are reading this then you either have a computer or some type of hand held device with internet access.
There are gazillions of websites available online that specialize in exercising and fitness plans.
The other night I joined a new (free) one called HealthVault by Microsoft. This is much the same as my favorite FitDay, with several exceptions. On HealthVault you are able to choose a variety of workouts specifically for your individual needs. There is cardio, strength training, etc. The coolest part of the site is once you have chose your workout plan, it configures the types of exercise you should do, the amount of weights and the repetitions. Bonus...bonus...they have pictures explaining each move. So, you can set up a plan like I did and the only equipment needed are some hand weights. Sally once mentioned to me that they sell these at Marshall's in Lacey for a VERY reasonable price. If you invested $20 (approximate) then you would have the two sets of weights needed to do 8 different exercises. here is the link http://www.healthvault.com/
I'm getting to be an old geezer so here is another site that has a superb fitness and exercise section. It is AARP. QUIT LAUGHING. Hopefully, you all will be there someday. Here is the link AARP
While attaching this link I found an article there that is right in line with today's subject. Read it here Frugal Workouts
If neither of these is your cup of tea, do a Google search and you will find hundreds of pages of worthwhile sites. The important thing is that you look to find one that fits your needs.
I believe that the key to any successful weight loss program involves dieting AND exercise. It doesn't have to be GYM exercise. ANY exercise will do the job. This combination will certainly increase your ability to lose weight better, and faster, while improving your overall health condition.

Recipe of the Day
With all the rainy weather lately, this sounds like a great way to warm up after being outside. http://www.recipezaar.com/Weight-Watchers-Crock-Pot-Chicken-Chili-227391
The holidays will soon be here. You either love this time of year or you hate it. Either way, be careful because there are hidden traps abounding like holiday parties, cookie platters at work, rich and fattening meals, and more. I don't plan to skip all these because that would be kind of a drag, but I do plan on using moderation. My small steps for this weekend are to stay active thru workouts, do chores around the house AND no succumbing to temptation. I am getting healthier (and smaller) everyday because I remember that this works One Step at a Time.
Happy Trails!
