Week 7 Results or Leaving on a Jet Plane

Greetings Friends~

Here are the Week 7 Results. Congratulations to the five of us that posted a loss. Kudos to Susan for being this week's Biggest Loser and also to Rebecca for going over the 10% mark. Way to go people. I hope that the rest of the crowd is able to post a loss next week. The way to do this is by taking small steps, not NO steps.

I am tired and, by the time you read this, I will be jetting my way to Sin City. It has been awhile since I've had a chance to recharge my batteries.

I have found that we all have our threshold for how much of life's stress that we can take. Usually, mine is about 12 months. Thank goodness it is time for me to get away.

I made my goal (barely). I certainly wish that I could have posted a five pound loss but losing two pounds is definitely good. I have lost 35 pounds to date and I have a very long way to go. Here is the thing Poppits, I don't really mind that my journey will be so long.

I am physically stronger now than I was a mere seven weeks ago. This has given me mental strength. Now I know that I can do this long hard journey.

I have lots of small steps that you will certainly hear about in the future. Now I will tell you about my BIG goal. I want to be at 199 by my birthday on May 3, 2010. That is a substantial chore to accomplish but I now believe that I have to tools and desire to do it. Three pounds a week will do it. I know with enough determination and effort that I will get there.

Recipe of the Day

Gooooolly, Sgt. Carter! That picture looks so darn good it makes me hungry even when I'm full!
Try this with some potato wedges, sprayed with Pam and baked for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. This would be a great meal that mimics the fast food that we all crave.

Sometimes I feel like I will never succeed. Then I remember that there are others out there for me that care and are interested in my success, One Step at at a Time. It gives me hope to know that as long as I continue to take small steps, someday I will achieve what has so far alluded me...maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Stay strong Traveler and you will get to the place that you desire.

Happy Trails!

Do you hear that? Did you hear what Chip said? Three pounds a week and he will reach his goal of 199 by the 3rd of May. You can do that! You can reach a goal that you set, (say it with me) ONE STEP AT A TIME!!! Think about the benefit, about the end game. You will feel better and look better. Give a try. What can you lose besides the weight?
