Not as Young as I Used to Be

Greetings Friends~

It is a little after 3 pm and I just got up. Well, I actually got up at 11am, ate a snack and then crawled back into the big cushy king sized bed. Mrs. B kept me up till 4 am last night and I was exhausted. There is only so much sight seeing, walking and nightlife that this old man can take. So, I sent Mrs. B off to her favorite casino so I could recuperate.

We must have walked a good five miles yesterday. Toward the end of the day my knees were feeling it. Now that I have lost some weight, my knees seem to last longer but I do have my limits. I hope that the smaller I get, the better my knees will be.

Last night we went to the Ellis Island Casino and Brewery which is MY favorite place in Vegas. I will tell you right now that my diet went by the wayside (kind of). I just could not resist the HUGE 22 oz beers for $1.50 each. Mysteriously, those glasses kept appearing at our table! We had the bbq for dinner. As far as I am concerned, it is the best I've ever had. I did limit myself to only the ribs, pushing aside the two ears of corn, the beans and the coleslaw. Small step but a step nonetheless.

I find that I get fuller much sooner which is a good thing. If I eat slowly, then I am likely to push away from the table faster. Also, when I am full, I either have the waiter take the plate away or have it boxed for later. This way I am less likely to over endulge.

I'd better cut this short and go find how much trouble Mrs. B is causing. By the way, we have taken some great picture, especially the one of Mrs. B and Elvis last night. I found him hiding in a bar. Go figure.

I am so glad to hear about the BBQ. I know both Mr. and Mrs. B have been looking forward to that. Because of the hype I know how hard it was to show restraint of any kind. I applaud you Clown Boy! Not just for the food but for staying up all night. You derserved that nap. I hope the followers are enjoying your Vegas trip as much as I have. Have fun!

I've been thinking of you while you are away! You are doing much better than I would be in Vegas! You are probably doing much better than I am here at home! Although I have been planning my work day meals and snacks well, and I haven't had any days where I let myself get so hungry that I pigged out. I went to the gym tonight with my friend and we did Zoomba again. It's a lot of fun and a great workout! I need to get to the gym more often that once a week, though! Hugs to you guys! See you when you get home :)
